External Usage

University of West Florida logos and marks may not be used by external organizations and businesses without prior written authorization from Institutional Communications. This includes but is not limited to all institutional logos, logo signatures, athletic marks, the Presidential Seal and other graphics associated with the institution’s identity.

Exceptions are granted for vendors and organizations in which a unit within the University has a contract for the purpose of promoting that UWF is a partner. In order to receive the exception, the contract terms must state that UWF has the authority to review and approve all marketing materials utilizing the institution’s brand. Contracts must follow the institution’s procurement and legal processes.

All external vendors, organizations and businesses that are approved to use an institutional logo or mark must adhere to the standards for each respective mark.

To request permission to use an institutional logo or mark, please email brand@uwf.edu.

Licensing

A trademark licensing program gives UWF control over its logos and marks, ensuring the quality and consistency of all uses and merchandise. Merchandise that bears a registered trademark, trade name, service mark, or logo of the University of West Florida name must be approved, in writing, by the office of Trademarks and Licensing (or its agent the Collegiate Licensing Company). More information can be obtained by visiting uwf.edu/licensing.
