Nautilus Shell Element
Throughout the institution’s history, the University has used and registered many marks. This includes multiple variations of the nautilus shell emblem and seal along with a number of athletic marks. As we refresh our brand, it is critical that we have a unified identity and reposition the use of our current graphic elements to better align with our current direction and core values. This involves dissolving competing graphics and marks.
The nautilus shell is a link to the University’s past. To honor the institution’s heritage appropriately, this graphic element is now protected. Usage is reserved and will be limited to special events, donor relations collateral and permanent signage/building architecture. It may no longer be used on general printed collateral or for promotional items. Any usage must be approved and/or designed by Institutional Communications.
The nautilus shell logos may no longer be used. For more information on these retired logos visit Retired Logos and Unsupported Marks.
