Energy Summit 2008
On Friday, October 3, 2008, Glenda Mayo, Advisor for the UWF Construction Program, delivered a presentation on the BEST House at the Energy Summit 2008. The Energy Summit was hosted by the Gulf Coast Energy Network at the Gulf Power Auditorium. The purpose of the summit was to bring industry leaders together to discuss future energy challenges and solutions.
On April 22, over 300 people gathered at the University of West Florida for two Environmental Symposia conducted as part of the 2008 Earth Day Pensacola celebrations. The theme of the morning symposium was "Community Environmental Issues." Glenda Mayo, Advisor for the UWF Construction Program, was one of the featured speakers, providing an informative presentation on the BEST House: Sustainable Construction and the BEST House.
