Currently, UWF BEI has partnerships with contracted businesses as well as UWF-run auxiliary businesses under its direct support umbrella. The organizations below have had a long-standing, successful relationship with the university in the past, which we expect will continue and expand into the future. As UWF BEI is able to convert "projects" into "business ventures," the partnerships and business will be added and featured on this page. Chartwells, Food Services
From big school districts to university campuses to small independent schools, Chartwells experience in educational dining service makes them a valuable partner for UWF. They offer an affordable range of innovative, nutritious dining options for the campus community. As a division of Compass Group North America, Chartwells combines the value and resources of a global foodservices network with the on-site expertise of local managers.

Follett Higher Education Group, Bookstores
Follett is a major bookstore provider that has been in business since 1873. It has grown to be the largest educational bookseller in North America with more than 700 college bookstore partnerships. The UWF Bookstore carries new and used textbooks, computers, school supplies, collegiate clothing, gifts and snacks. The store provides convenient services to UWF students such as "BookNow" online ordering program as well as a "Bookstore Deferment" program that allows students on financial aid to get their books faster.

Scenic Hills Golf and Country Club
Scenic Hills Golf Club was recently acquired by UWF BEI and will be operated as a self-run business. The semi-private golf course has been serving the Pensacola community since 1958 with a focus on continuous enhancements. The original Chic Adams course was updated by Jerry Pate in 1992 and underwent a complete renovation in 2006. In 2008, Scenic Hills opened a luxurious clubhouse that includes facilities for fine dining and formal occasions, a sports bar/grill, an outdoor pavilion, and a golf shop. Scenic Hills is located just off Nine Mile Road at 8891 Burning Tree Road. For information about the course, tee times, membership or facilities rentals, please visit the website.

Chartwells Expands Food Service

Eat. Learn. Live.

When students arrived back to school this fall they discovered a few new food offering on the Pensacola campus. Bistro Blue is a mobile outdoor café with a New Orleans inspired menu located on one of the prettiest spots on campus, under the trees between Bldgs. 12 and 18. The breakfast menu includes bagels, sandwiches and pastries. For lunch, foods such as jambalaya, muffalettas, soups and sandwiches are served.

Across campus in the new College of Business Education Center, Chartwells opened a new Outtakes Coffee Shop with grab and go salads, sandwiches and wraps. The new Presidents Hall resident's housing includes two food favorites, an Outtakes Coffee Shop and a Papa John's pizza kitchen.
