Frequently Asked Questions

Why did UWF place a digital sign at the east entrance?

A digital sign is an effective way to promote the University. The sign also secures additional income for the University through contracted signage managed by UWF Business Enterprises, Inc.

The sign reaches both eastbound and westbound traffic on Highway 90 at the east entrance to the University. There are an estimated 25,000 vehicles that travel this route each day. It enhances UWF’s visibility and connects the campus to the community.

How is the digital sign used?

The sign is utilized in part for commercial advertising and messaging. Space is sold to external advertisers through the signage company, Electronic Display Networks. The sign’s strategic location and large daily audience allows UWF to promote itself to Pensacola area commuters at no cost to the University. For more information, contact EDN at 850.432.8080.
