UWF BEI pursues projects that will enhance academic opportunities or provide a service for the University community. Each project is considered with due diligence before it is approved by the BEI Board. The list below features projects that have been deemed viable to further UWF’s mission and strategic priorities.
University Park & Northwest Village
University Park is the south central area of campus, which includes potential facilities such as a new student union, residence hall, football stadium, plaza, bell tower and more. Northwest Village is a proposed 55 + active adult community, to be developed on west campus. Learn more.
East Campus Restaurant Development Site
The UWF Campus Master Plan identifies the east campus enterprise zone as a strategic development location for the university. UWF BEI will identify potential development options, in keeping with the priorities outlined in the master plan. Learn more.
Electronic Displays on Campus
Through a public-private partnership with Electronic Display Networks, 10 electronic displays are located in high-traffic areas and feature a mix of targeted advertising, calendar events, weather updates and UWF news and information. Learn more.
Electric Vehicle Project
UWF BEI envisions a fleet of all-electric cars that could be used by students as a cost-saving alternative to bringing personal cars on campus. The car-sharing concept would help open up more parking spaces using green technology. Learn more.
Digital Billboard Project
A public-private partnership, the digital sign would be located on Hwy. 90. The University would share space with commercial businesses to tout educational, community and social programs. Learn more.
