Printmaking: Book Art Workshop
Workshop Description: BOOK ART: IMAGE AND WORD, COLOR AND CONCEPT This printmaking workshop will concentrate on intaglio, the gum transfer process, and monoprints. Ideas will be developed and sustained through five or six images, creating a portfolio of prints that is suitable as the basis of a one of a kind artist book. The key concept or idea unifies the whole, while opening wide the possibilities for aesthetic and technical
experimentation. Participants are encouraged to bring sketches, collages,
self-authored writings, a favorite poem or essay, even an especially irritating newspaper item!
