Doyon earned her Ph.D. in art history from the University of Georgia. She has taught art history classes at Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, the University of Florida, and the University of West Florida. She currently serves as Chair of the Department of Art at the University of West Florida. Doyon has received several grants, among them a National Endowment for the Humanities, Summer Stipend, and a National Endowment for the Arts grant. For twelve years, Doyon presented lectures on art history for summer workshops on Discipline-Based Art Education (DBAE), sponsored by the J. Paul Getty Foundation. Doyon was also Scholar-in-Residence at the Pollock/Krasner House and Study Center in East Hampton, Long Island, where she conducted research on Jackson Pollock’s early paintings. The resulting article was featured on the cover of American Art, published by the Smithsonian Institute. Doyon also has published articles on Pre-Columbian art, which have appeared in American Antiquity, The Textile Museum Journal and elsewhere. Other publications include topics in Italian Renaissance Art. Doyon also directed several adult and student trips to Italy, and has conducted research on the Renaissance frescoes of Pintorricchio in Siena, Spello, and Rome.

Richard Haley, Sculptural Ceramics Workshop Instructor E-Mail: rhaley@uwf.edu Bio: Richard Haley is currently a visiting Professor in the UWF department of art with an emphasis in foundations. He teaches a broad range of courses including sculpture, photography, and digital media. His own studio practice embraces this same all over approach; working with materials and methods as disparate as stop motion animation and marshmallow. His work was seen in group exhibitions at Johannson projects in Oakland, CA and the San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery this past spring and he his currently preparing for his second solo exhibition at Anotheryearinla Gallery, in Los Angeles which is set to open October 25, 2008.

Joseph Herring, Digital Art: "Posters for Non Profits" Workshop Instructor E-Mail: jherring@uwf.edu Bio: Joseph Herring received his BFA from Washington University in St. Louis and his MFA from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. While in the Southern California, he worked with non-profit arts organizations including the Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena to provide after school arts education to at-risk students in Los Angeles County. He has taught digital arts to students at the grammar school, middle school, high school, and college level.

Lyda Toy, Printmaking: "Book Art" Workshop Instructor E-Mail: ltoy@uwf.edu Bio: Lyda Toy Lyda Toy has been pulling prints for nearly forty years, studying under some of the most renowned printmakers in the country. At the Baltimore Museum of Art, she worked with John Blair Mitchell, and she was the protégé of the late William Walmsley at Florida State. Her teaching experience includes appointments at UWF, FSU, and Bainbridge Community College, Georgia. Earlier in her career, Lyda taught at Baltimore Experimental High School and served as the Art Editor for the quarterly “Women: A Journal of Liberation.” She has been Artist-in-Residence in several community museums, galleries, and schools, and is an active member of the Southern Art Prints Alliance. Never willing to be pigeon holed, Lyda explores a variety of artistic media, including drawing, painting, and performance art. In her spare time, she plays the guitar and flute.

Dan Kelleher, Figure Drawing Workshop Instructor E-Mail: dkelleher@uwf.edu Bio: Dan Kelleher Dan Kelleher retired as Emeritus Professor from the Massachusetts College of Art, where he founded and directed the institution’s first graduate program, and served as Chair of Painting. Kelleher studied under Joseph Albers, and completed his formal education at Cranbrook Academy, University of Denver, and elsewhere. He received a Fulbright scholarship, which support additional study in France and Italy. During his early career, Kelleher taught at a vocational school in the Bronx and was a high school teacher in Syracuse, NY. His work has been exhibited in many venues in the Northeast, including Harvard University, Danforth Art Museum, Carpenter Art Center, De Cordova Museum, and Brockton Art Museum.
