Fall 2003 Conference Evaluation

One aspect of the Fall 2003 AUBER Conference in New Orleans is very clear: almost everyone loved the food.

The evaluation sheets have been gathered and the ratings have been tallied. Based upon the consensus of those who answered the evaluation sheets, the fall conference was a success. Even with three concurrent sessions and a host city that could distract anyone, each session was well attended. Moreover, there was excellent interaction and discussion between the presenters and those who attended.

The addition of poster sessions was a definite hit among the evaluators. In fact, the planners for the Tucson program are already working to include poster sessions in next year's conference. However, the most positive aspects of the conference seemed to be the times when AUBER members had the opportunity for informal networking, such as the rooftop reception and dinner, and the hospitality suite.

The planners for next year's conference have their work cut out for them. New Orleans will be a hard act to top.
