USF's Basic Economic Development Course

This year marks the 27th Annual USF Economic Development Course. The course will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Tampa, Florida's historic Ybor City, from November 2-7, 2003.

The weeklong course, which is fully accredited by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), serves as an introduction to economic development. Eighteen universities and state agencies around the U.S. offer the IEDC accredited basic economic development course (BEDC) at different times throughout the year. The course is the first step for anyone planning to become certified in the economic development field.

USF's BEDC offers a diverse and experienced faculty, composed of both academicians and practitioners providing an excellent blend of theory and practice. Because participation and discussion are strongly encouraged, the class capacity is 30 people.
