In 2002 the Haas Center for Business Research and
Economic Development of the University of West Florida
received a grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration
to develop the Virtual Business Accelerator (VBA). The
mission of the VBA was to develop and promote effective
methods of technology transfer. A significant component
of the VBA grant was to incorporate and utilize web-based
GIS tools to address business marketing and planning needs.
This presentation will focus on how the Haas Center developed
the GIS tools web site for the VBA.
