In the provinces of Baluchistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa there are still Pashtun and Baluchi families that are semi-nomadic. They live part of the year in sundried brick house and the other part in tents (gidam) herding their livestock. Tents can be made of modern canvas, camel or goat hair, or palm matting stretched over poles.
