When in groups, Pakistanis are not concerned with personal space and tend to stand much closer than Westerners are accustomed. They may also put a hand on your shoulder while talking or standing next to you. Do not shy away as this may be seen as rude. However, when standing in the presence of a woman, you should never stand too close [6].
