Quality Online Teaching: Essential Skills
Essential Skills is the foundational course for all instructors who will be teaching online. The skills covered include:
- establishing and maintaining instructor presence in the online learning environment
- developing standards for individual and group communication
- facilitating interaction
- providing timely feedback and support to your online students
This is the first of two courses intended to prepare participants to provide quality online instruction. Successful completion of both the
Quality Online Teaching: Essential Skills and
Quality Online Teaching: Advanced Skills courses will result in certification as a
Quality Online Instructor.
NOTE: Completion of this course is required for enrollment in the advanced skills course.
