Description

This course will provide an initial opportunity for all faculty and adjuncts to engage as a fully online student. The course will serve as a basics of online learning course allowing both faculty and adjuncts to participate in a short-term D2L course as a distance learner while learning the fundamentals of online learning. Plan to take this course before you participate in Studio e Backstage.

Goals

• Develop skills in navigating through the learning management system using its tools.
• Develop basic vocabulary for online learning development and implementation
• Identify areas of strengths and weaknesses of learning through online learning as a student participant.
• Participate in threaded discussions, dropbox assignments, and group activities online.

Delivery

Fully online five day session at the beginning of each semester. Participants will be required to log on daily and be prepared to participate approximately an hour each day (asynchonously).
