Using the Respondus LockDown Browser

The [quiz/exam info] must be taken using the Respondus LockDown Browser.

Please follow these instructions to prepare the computer you will be using for these [quizzes/exams].

• Go to http://eLearning.uwf.edu - DO NOT login.
  
  
• Click on the "Respondus LockDown Browser" link listed under the login area. This will open a new page.
  
  
• Login with your ArgoNet Username and Password.
• Read the information shown on this page and watch the Demo by clicking on the Demo button:
• Download the Respondus LockDown Browser to your desktop by following these steps:
1. Click on the Download Respondus Button:
2. Select the appropriate operating system:
3. Select the type of machine you are on (Lab, Own, Work).
4. Click the Download Installer link on the next page.
5. Save the .exe file to your Desktop.
6. Double click the .exe to start the installation process.
7. Click Run at the security warning.
8. Click the Extract Button.
9. Click Yes when asked if you want to run the install program.
10. Click Finish.
• You will now see a shortcut on your desktop to run the Respondus LockDown Browser.
  
  

You must use this browser for your quizzes if indicated.

• An easy way to tell if you need to use the Respondus LockDown Browser is if when you start up a quiz in Internet Explorer or Firefox and you do not see "START QUIZ!" in the upper right corner.
  
  
• Logoff eLearning and exit your browser.
  • This quiz is set to require the Respondus LockDown Browser.
    
    
• To take the quiz in the Respondus LockDown Browser do the following:
  1. Close all programs.
  2. Double click on the shortcut icon on your desktop to run the Respondus LockDown Browser.
  3. You will be taken immediately to eLearning's login page.
     1. Log in with your ArgoNet username and password.
        
        
  4. Go to your course and locate your quiz.
  5. You will now see the START QUIZ! () in the upper right corner.
     1. In Respondus it is Red.

You must take the Respondus Testing Quiz to ensure you have the Respondus LockDown Browser installed properly
prior to taking [first quiz/exam].

This is mandatory and [first quiz/exam] will not release unless you have completed the Respondus Testing Quiz.
