Multiple submission is the practice of submitting a single paper for credit in two different classes (in the same semester or in different semesters).
UWF does not have a general policy prohibiting this practice. However, because an individual professor may not permit the practice in their class, a student wishing to make a multiple submission must clear it, in advance, with both professors involved.
Furthermore, if you intend to use excerpts of a submission for one class as a portion of a submission in another class, you would be well advised to discuss this in advance with both instructors. This practice may not be allowed by one of both of your instructors, and even if allowed there may be specific requirements for citing your previous work in the new submission.
Yes, requirements do exist for citing your own work!
Non-compliance may result in a violation of the University's standard of conduct.
