Faculty Highlights: Lori Smailes

Lori Smailes

The Academic Technology Center is proud to recognize Lori for achieving internal Quality Matters (QM) Certification of her fully online course - CEN 6074 - Software Assurance.

Lori Smailes has been an Adjunct Professor for the Software Engineering Graduate Program (online) at UWF for 4 years. She graduated from the US Air Force Academy with a B.S. in Computer Science and from UWF with a M.S. in Software Engineering. Ms. Smailes also has professional certifications to include IEEE Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP), PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), (ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and (ISC)2 Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP). Ms. Smailes currently works in the Cybersecurity field, and has over 25 years of Software Engineering and Project Management experience. The online courses she has taught at UWF include CEN6064 Software Design, CEN6074 Software Assurance, and CEN6070 Software Verification and Test.
