Faculty Highlights: Dr. Enid Sisskin

Enid SisskinCongratulations to Dr. Enid Sisskin! The Academic Technology Center is proud to announce that Dr. Sisskin's fully online courses - PHC6300 - Survey of Environmental Problems and PHC6310 - Environmental Toxicology, were reviewed and recognized by external Quality Matters (QM) Peer Review Teams as having met quality expectations in online course design.

Dr. Sisskin's course were reviewed by teams of external faculty peer reviewers from other institutions across the United States trained in applying the Quality Matters rubric standards. Her courses are designated as being aligned to national standards of best practice in online course design. Review team members take the student perspective with regard to clarity and organization of an online course, providing feedback on course design by awarding points for specific review standards. QM Review Standards reflect national standards of best practice and research literature.

Enid has been an employee of UWF since 2000 and teaching online classes since 2006. She's on the faculty of the School of Allied Health and Life Sciences and teaches four graduate courses in the Master of Public Health degree program and one course in the Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences program, all online. She intends to have all of her courses QM certified and is working on program certification for the MPH program. She is also an eCoach working with adjuncts in the department.
