Online Course receives National Recognition
Please join the Academic Technology Center in congratulating Dr. Anita Solarski! Her course, TSL4080, ESOL Principles and Practices, is the first UWF fully-online course to be reviewed and recognized by an external Quality Matters (QM) Peer Review Team as having met quality expectations in online course design.
QM is a faculty-centered, peer review process that is designed to certify the quality of online and blended courses, using a rubric comprised of forty specific elements, distributed across eight broad standards. In order to achieve QM recognition, a course must meet each of the 17 essential standards (standards valued at 3-points). In addition, the course must receive a minimum of 72 (out of 85) points. Anita's course, TSL4080, met quality expectations, scoring 83 points out of a possible 85 points! As a result, Anita's course will be promoted on the Quality Matters website in the national registry of QM Recognized Courses.
Way to go Anita! Congratulations on being the first UWF faculty member to receive this distinction.
