The goal of the Academy of Senior Professionals encompasses the following objectives.

• Promotion of public understanding of state and local issues.
• Participation in state and local problem solving for private organizations and public agencies.
• Participation in the economic development of the University and its satellites.
• Participation in University programming as educational resource consultants in classes, seminars, or other formats as appropriate.
