All Army ROTC 4 year scholarships provide: four years of tuition and fees, $1,200 each year for books and a graduated monthly stipend that begins at 300.00 per academic month as a freshmen and ends at 500.00 per academic month as a senior.
The University of West Florida offers Army ROTC 4 year scholarships to high school students from accross the United States and overseas. Students who are interested in a 4 year Army ROTC scholarship should first try and apply online at the National Web site. The address to the National web site is http://www.goarmy.com/rotc/. Once you click on the link you will see the word scholarships. Click on scholarships and select High School Students. Scroll down the page until you see Create an account and you are on your way. Make sure that you have the minumum ACT/SAT scores and GPA before you apply. When filling out the national application it is very important that you list The University of West Florida as one of the colleges you wish to attend.
If you miss the National scholarship window you may apply for a 4 year Army ROTC scholarship directly from the university that you wish to attend. This is called a campus based scholarship and provides exactly the same benefits as the National one (but unlike the national scholarship, the university must process all the paperwork). For information on a campus based 4-Year Army ROTC scholarship, contact Steve Duckworth at sduckworth@uwf.edu.
