ArgoPulse is an online database system that is developed and managed by a company called CollegiateLink. It supports registered student organization (RSO) administration through the development of electronic forms and processes, and a process management system that can be configured to include multiple levels of approval when appropriate.
Additionally, it provides RSOs with a secure website that is edited using a what-you-see-is-what-you-get (WYSIWYG) editor. Stakeholders in this project include student leaders, students, faculty/staff, campus administrators and alumni.
ArgoPulse uses categories and interests to suggest involvement opportunities for students, similar to the popular online shopping site Amazon.com.
Students select from a wide range of interests when they set-up their ArgoPulse profile for the first time. They may add, delete or prioritize those interests at any time through the My Involvement tab.
Registered Student Organizations, programs and departments that have an ArgoPulse profile also select from the list of interests, and ArgoPulse suggests events and organizations that may be of interest to students based on those similar interests.
The best thing about ArgoPulse is that the list of interests is always growing! In fact, if you have an interest that isn't listed, simply send an email to argopulse@uwf.edu and we will add it to the list.
Suggestions for events and organizations aren't the only way ArgoPulse supports student involvement. To reach as many students as possible, ArgoPulse also customizes the bulletin board (see below) to display events based on your involvement and interests.
The result? Everyone who logs in to ArgoPulse has a unique experience customized to meet their interests!
