Argo Arrival

Celebrate the start of the semester at Argo Arrival!

Argo Arrival is the University of West Florida's official welcome season for our new and returning students. Kick off the new school year, explore involvement opportunities, have fun, and meet new people. Stay informed about events, opportunities to connect with your peers, and more via this site and the #ArgoArrival hashtag. Argo Arrival events are free for all current students with a valid Nautilus Card.

Family Welcome

Parent and Family Association welcomes new students and their families to campus for residence hall Move-In Day. Take the opportunity to stop by the Parent and Family Association tent to get your picture taken in our pop-up photo booth, discuss membership benefits, learn about Family Weekend and relax with other families.

New Student Convocation

New Student Convocation welcomes new students and their families into the UWF community. Take part in this traditional event to receive a UWF medallion, hear from University leaders, learn more about your college, get tips from current students, learn the UWF Fight Song and more. Dress to impress because there will be opportunities to meet senior University leadership.

Club U-Dub

Club U-Dub is an event you don’t want to miss! Come party with us and our DJs, ride a mechanical bull, compete in glow-in-the-dark games, sing karaoke, paint a masterpiece and more! Whether you like activities that are high-energy or low-energy, there is something for everyone. Free snacks, drinks and merch will be provided.

Screen on the Green

Grab a blanket and a friend, and meet us on the Cannon Green for a surprise outdoor movie experience! We will also provide popcorn, other snacks and drinks.

Beach Bash

Don't miss this opportunity to join other Argos on an escape to Pensacola Beach. You'll enjoy the experience of a live DJ playing all your favorite hits, playing games in the sand, and relaxing before classes begin. We will provide food/snacks, drinks, and games. Don't forget to bring extra water and sun protection (i.e., sunscreen, umbrellas, hats). *Please Note: This is an alcohol-free event.

Fraternity and Sorority Life Kickoff

Meet UWF’s fraternities and sororities while enjoying free food and music in the Commons Great Hall! Learn about the opportunities for formal recruitment and how you can get involved with Fraternity and Sorority Life at UWF.

Argopalooza Involvement Fair

Join us at Argopalooza to find out how to make your college journey more impactful. You'll have the opportunity to discover UWF’s 85+ student organizations and learn about the opportunities to get involved with the University's clubs, organizations and departments.

Donuts with the Deans

Be on the lookout for the Dean of Students Office staff members who will be driving around campus and giving out free donuts to students to celebrate the first day of classes!

Yard Games Open House

Come get to know First Year Advising, Tutoring Learning Resources, and Office Campus Culture and Access by joining us for yard games and a snack. Games will include cornhole, lawn bowling, ladder toss, and Jenga.

Stop by the International Center for free international treats and learn more about study abroad programs, destinations and scholarships! UWF has study abroad opportunities that are affordable, accessible, inclusive and designed with you in mind!

Aloha Argos! Paradise awaits you at Argo Oasis in the form of a mechanical shark, limbo, hula hoop contest, and Kona Ice. Come out and meet new friends and the Campus Activity Board (CAB) team!

Open House

Join Career Development and Community Engagement, Housing and Residence Life and Student Accessibility Resources for some fun! Learn about Handshake, explore the Student Accessibility Resource Center, meet staff and enjoy some free treats and door prizes!

Dean’s Challenge Ping Pong Tournament

Challenge Dr. Anderson for the Dean’s Challenge Ping Pong tournament! Will you be the next champion? This tournament is open to all students and free to participate in. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Events are free to current students, so please bring your valid Nautilus Card to each event. You can get the most from specific events by coming prepared. For instance, bring your sunglasses and sunscreen to Argopalooza, and dress to impress for New Student Convocation.

You don’t need to register or sign up ahead of time. Staff will be on-site to get you signed in at each event, so just be sure to bring your valid Nautilus Card.

Drinks, food, and snacks will be available at most Argo Arrival events. Check the event details above for more specific information.

Argo Arrival events are for currently enrolled UWF students. Family members of new students are invited to attend New Student Convocation and Family Welcome, but all other events are for students only.
