Argo Arrival serves to welcome to the newest Members of the UWF community. There are a number of ways in which you and your student organization can get involved. Please note the links below, but don't hesitate to contact Ben Stubbs at email@example.com with questions or ideas.
Believe it or not, over 2100 residential students will be moving into our campus community very soon. The Department of Housing and Residence Life at the University of West Florida is looking for volunteers to share their energy by helping the new students of our campus community with the 2013 Move-In Day, which will take place on Friday, August 23rd and Saturday, August 24th.
Move-in will be all-day events from 8:00am to 3:00pm. Any amount of time that you and your organization can offer is greatly appreciated. If you and your organization would like to participate in this exciting event, please fill out the information in the form below by Friday, August 2nd. Please note if you have any volunteers affiliated with your organization who are NOT UWF students, faculty or staff they will have to complete an additional volunteer form.
As an extra perk, sorority volunteers who live on campus and are here for sorority prep week will be able to move into their fall assignment early if they do not currently live on campus for summer or are not moving in early for staff training. The early move in date will be Sunday, August 18th between at 10am-5pm. We will not be able to accommodate move ins different from this time due to Housing staff training. In this form, you will be asked for the names of volunteers, if they live on campus and where. Please gather this information to assist you in filling out the form and to ensure we have a complete list of volunteers moving in on Sunday, August 18th! Only members you list will be approved to move in early.
This event serves as our primary involvement fair for student organizations. Student orgs host tables where they can promote membership or participation in their programs. This year’s program will also feature a Demo Stage, allowing organizations to show off their skills or market a specific aspect of their organization. Student organizations MUST register here in order to reserve a table at Argopalooza.
This year, Argo Arrival is heading back to the beach on Sunday, August 25! Volunteers will be assisting with setup, registration, activity stations, breakdown, and leading the busses from campus to the event. If you would like to volunteer during this event, please complete the form below.
A student-favorite, Wet 'n Wild is back, presented by CAB and Student Transitions Programs. Volunteers will assist with setup, supervise inflatable attractions, and serve food items. If you are willing to assist on Saturday, August 24, please complete the form below.
