Rylan Thomas graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2010 with a BA in Anthropology and minors in Archaeology and Business. His undergraduate field schools included a late Fort Ancient site in eastern Kentucky and a British Colonial site in northwest Jamaica.
Before coming to UWF in Fall 2011, he interned as an archaeological technician with the USFS (Stanislaus and Daniel Boone) and NPS (Great Smoky Mountains). His thesis examines slavery and slave life at Arcadia Mill (located in Milton, FL).
