Joe Grinnan graduated from the University of Florida with a B.A. in Anthropology and a minor in Zoology. Joe has worked in the dive industry for a number of years, most recently as a dive instructor in the Florida Keys. His archaeological experiences have taken him far afield including work in New Hampshire and Ghana, Africa. Joeâ€™s masterâ€™s thesis is on the maritime cultural landscape of Molino Mills. Molino Mills is a steam-powered sawmill from the Reconstruction Era. It is located about 25 miles north of Pensacola, Florida. His research interests include the integration of terrestrial and maritime archaeological data, maritime industry, and maritime trade in the colonial era.
