Ashley Shidner graduated with her B.A. from the University of Florida with a degree in Anthropology and a minor in Entomology. Her undergraduate honors thesis consisted of interpreting statistical data to find possible correlations between the estimated age of the individual and the occurrence of cribra orbitalia and porotic hyperostosis in Florida Gulf Coast sites. She spent the summer of 2005 at the Hontoon Island Archaeological field school. Her interests are human osteology and pathologies, forensic anthropology and entomology, and bioarchaeology.
