Why did you choose to attend UWF?
The University of West Florida had the necessary qualities I was looking for. I love that it is a medium sized school and that my classes are moderately sized for great interaction with my professors. It is a beautiful campus; calm and interactive. I love that the residence halls are co-ed and I can meet more people. The staff at UWF, unlike many others, are always nice and attentive towards my needs.
What do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I am involved in other organizations. I am a Resident Assistant for the Department of Housing and Resident Life. I serve the university as a Student Ambassador and the Student Alumni Association. I am the Associate Director for Alternative Spring Break-Away program under the Student Activities Center. I am a member of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, as well as Chi Aplha Episilon National Honor Society-Zeta Alpha Chapter. I am the Co-Chair for Volunteers for the 2014-2015 conference for the Florida Association of Residence Halls and Chair for Hall Advancement in Community Council. I have volunteerd on the Homecoming Committee for two years and served in many more organizations.
What is one piece of advice you would give to a prospective student interested in UWF?
Use your resources. Our wonderful Student Ambassador advisor has taught us how to do that wisely. There are many opportunities in college that one will be exposed to. One must learn how to use those and how to continuously improve in leadership skills, personal character, relationship building and professionalism.
What do you hope to do after you graduate?
After graduation I want to enroll in graduate school in Washington, D.C. or abroad. Upon receiving my two bachelor's degrees I woul live to receive my Doctorate by the age of 25 and apply for jobs abroad that could potentialy lead me to work for the United Nations or any other place that life may lead me.
