Dr. Franca Uvah is not exactly a new face in the University Advising Center. She has been with the Center in several
capacities since 1995. She was the Advisor for the College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Computer Science,
respectively, prior to reuniting with her former colleagues in the University Advising Center.
Dr. Uvah received her B.A. degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1989. She went on to get her M.A.
in Psychology, the Ed. S and Ed.D in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of West Florida.
She has taught Organizational Behavior and Industrial psychology, African Cultures, and Student Life Skills.
Her research interests include: Cultural issues that affect performance in the work place as well as instruction and learning
in post secondary education.
