Congratulations, and welcome to the Argonaut community! The steps below will provide you with information to successfully complete your enrollment at UWF.

Applying for Financial Aid
All students should complete and submit their Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to UWF. December 15 is the priority deadline for submitting your FAFSA. You can learn more about UWF's financial aid opportunities at uwf.edu/financialaid and can contact the Financial Aid Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or (850) 474-2400.

Homeschool Students: Proof of High School Graduation
If you are a homeschool student, make sure you submit official proof of high school graduation. This is usually a letter from county school board / state board of education stating the student met state graduation requirements to receive their high school diploma.
Confirmation & Next Steps
Confirm to Reserve Your Spot
All students are required to notify us that they have chosen to attend UWF prior to registering for orientation or applying for on-campus housing. May 1 is the priority deadline to confirm your intent to enroll at UWF.
Sign-up for New Student Orientation
All freshmen are required to attend New Student Orientation which is where they will register for classes. Students are encouraged to register for orientation by the May 1 priority deadline.
Apply for On-Campus Housing
Housing is always in high demand, so be sure to complete and submit a housing contract as soon as possible. Students are encouraged to apply for housing by the May 1 priority deadline. Housing contracts and housing living options can be found at uwf.edu/housing. For questions please contact the Housing and Residence Office at email@example.com.
Preparing for Orientation: Immunizations, Transcripts, and Registration
Submit Immunization Form
All students are required to complete and submit an Immunization Health History Form to register for classes at least 3 weeks prior to when they wish to register. Submit Exam Credit Transcripts
If you received AP, IB, AICE, DANTES, CLEP or other exam credit you will need to request official score reports be sent from the testing agency directly to UWF to receive college credit. All exam credit transcript(s) should be received in the admission office prior to attending freshmen orientation. Learn more about awarded credit, including course equivalencies.
Submit College Transcripts
All students who are currently enrolled in college courses (i.e. dual enrollment) or with completed college coursework must submit all college transcripts to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Contact the college(s) awarding you the credit to send your transcripts to UWF. All transcript(s) should be received 3 weeks prior to attending Freshmen Orientation.
Register for Classes
All freshmen will register for classes at New Student Orientation. Make sure the following has been completed to ensure smooth course registration.
You will also need to check, verify, and satisfy all registration holds before you can register for classes.
Final Steps: Transcripts, Residency, and Tuition
Submit Final High School Transcript
All Freshmen are required to have their final high school transcript sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions once they graduate from high school. You will need to request a transcript be sent from your high school to UWF showing your graduation details prior to the start of classes.
If you are receiving financial aid and you have recently graduated from high school, your final transcript (graduation date, degree, and final grades) must be received in order to disburse your financial aid.
Verify Your Residency
It is the student's responsibility to ensure they have the correct residency classification upon starting or re-entering UWF by at least the 1st day of classes. It is important to note that Florida Statute Section 1009.21 declares that all admitted students are non-residents until an independent review provides sufficient information to change the decision permanently. The burden of proof to overturn the original decision remains with the student.
