Visiting Students


UWF offers a variety of summer courses that allow you the flexibility to enroll at UWF, complete UWF courses and have your credits transferred to your home institution. UWF offers convenient courses scheduled during multiple terms throughout the summer. Take advantage of a variety of course offerings online, in Pensacola and Emerald Coast

A Non-Degree Student is a student who is attending a university outside of Florida, a private university or is not attending another institution and would like to take classes at UWF. A student who wishes to take courses at UWF and is not interested in seeking a degree.

A Transient Student is a visiting student from another Florida public University or public State/Community College where they are actively enrolled and wishes to take classes at UWF.

Graduate Non-Degree Students

Graduate non-degree candidates must hold a bachelor's degree, but are not required to submit any transcripts for admission purposes. Although, many academic departments may need a student's unofficial transcript to show that a course pre-requisite has been satisfied.

Please be aware:

  • Non-degree students are not eligible to receive financial aid benefits.
  • Current and continuing degree seeking students have course registration priority. Graduate non-degree student registration opens the second week of the open registration period. Learn more about graduate academic dates & deadline periods

Oftenly overlooked is the section on the application regarding Residency for Tuition Purposes. Please be sure to complete all sections of the graduate non-degree application's residency section and be sure to provide evidence of residential status for your residency classification.
