Undergraduates: Admitted for Fall 2017, but interested in taking Spring classes?

The process for changing semesters is easy and only takes few minutes to complete. Students admitted for the Fall but would like to begin in the Spring will need to fill out a Semester Change Request Form. Once submitted, please allow 2-3 business days for information on how to update your application.

Financial Aid

If you are a new UWF student beginning your enrollment Spring 2018, please visit the financial aid website for detailed financial aid information. The 2017-18 FAFSA is effective for Fall 2017, Spring 2018 and Summer 2018. When you receive your award notification, review the information that is attached to the email, so you understand any additional steps you must take in order to receive the funds. Student Accounts will send you information regarding a BankMobile Account (Formerly High One) and financial aid disbursement.

Freshmen Students

  • Upon Offer:  Submit FAFSA to UWF.  UWF's school code = 003955
  • September 1:  Housing contract opens
  • November 1:  Admissions Priority Deadline (Students must be offered admission by this deadline to receive maximum scholarship consideration)
  • November 1:  New Student Orientation Registration opens
  • As soon as possible:  Confirm to accept your offer of admission

Transfer Students

Spring 2018
  • October 1:  Applying Priority Deadline (Application Submitted by)
  • November 1:  Admissions and Scholarship Priority Deadline (Offered Admission by)
  • November 1:  Financial Aid Priority Deadline (2016-2017 FAFSA submitted to UWF by)
  • November 20:  Class registration begins for new Transfer Students (Over 30 transfer hours - contact Academic Department Advisor to register / Under 30 transfer hours - register for classes at new student orientation)
  • December 1:  Confirm = Accept Offer of Admission Priority Deadline (Notify Intention to Enroll)
  • December 1:  Housing Priority Deadline (Housing Contracts Due)
  • December 14:  Spring Housing assignments go out for students who have all immunizations satisfied
  • December 22:  University Closes for Winter Break at 5:00pm CST
