Dr.
Richard G. Platt received the B.A. degree in mathematics and M.S.
degree in computer science from the University of Arkansas. He received
his Ph.D. in business computer information systems from the University
of North Texas.
Dr. Platt is currently an Associate Professor of MIS with the Department
of Management & MIS at the University of West Florida. His research
interests include computer and information ethics, computer user
perceptions, strategic advantage and visual development environments.
He has presented papers at various regional and international conferences.
Dr. Platt has served as a consultant to numerous organizations
including the U.S. Navy, Internal Revenue Service, Celotex Corporation,
and Arco Oil and Gas. He is a member of the Association for Computing
Machinery, Association for Information Systems, the Association
for Business Simulation and Experiential Learning, and the Institute
of Management Sciences/College of Information Systems.
