May Progress Report
On April 20, 2012, members of the Academic Visioning Oversight Team (AVOT) facilitated a day-long action planning conference. The purpose of this conference was to create a division-level implementation plan by developing strategies for each strategic priority within each goal. As time permitted, detailed action steps were identified for each strategy. Division-level initiatives were also identified.
Forty-one participants attended the planning conference including SAVE Committee members and other faculty, staff, and administrators. These individuals were invited because of their expertise and their dedication to the University of West Florida.
A report is now available containing the outcomes of this conference. The participants developed eighteen action plans with strategies, one for each strategic priority of the 2012-2017 Academic Strategic Master Plan (referred as Action Plan Part 1). Additionally, the participants developed 30 action plans that contain action steps for specific strategies (referred as Action Plan Part 2). These Part 2 action plans were not fully completed and were not created for all strategies due to limited time during the planning conference.
