All alumni of the University of West Florida are able to use Career Education services free of charge. We can assist you with your job search, resume, cover letter, interviewing and much more. To request an appointment, please call 850.474.2254 or schedule an appointment online through Handshake.
Not only are there full- and part-time job openings available for you to apply to, but also you can also view upcoming career events, search the employer database, and submit your résumé for review. Job Searching Resources
Alumni can meet with one of our career coaches who can help you prepare in a variety of ways for your job search. Topics relating to social media, job search strategies or interviewing skills are just a few examples of things to consider in this process.
- A job search appointment consists of topics ranging from the role social media has in the job search process to the importance of not only knowing what job you are looking for, but also where to look for said jobs.
- When you find that job, participating in a mock interview will allow you to gain confidence before going into the real interview. We can tailor a mock interviews to a specific job posting and career field.
Online Résumé/Cover Letter Reviews
Before you apply for your next job, let a career coach review your résumé and cover letter and provide feedback. This adds another layer of confidence that your documents are error-free and ready for employers to review. You can take advantage of this service by uploading your résumé and/or cover letter to Handshake and by emailing Career Development and Community Engagement to request an online review of your uploaded document(s).
