The 2019 Student Scholar Symposium and Faculty Showcase

 

 Abstracts accepted from Monday, February 11th - Monday, March 4th, 2019

 

The Office of Undergraduate Research is now accepting abstracts for the 2019 Student Scholars Symposium and Faculty Research Showcase. Please choose from your respective drop-down menu below to be routed to your appropriate abstract submission portal. All currently approved faculty sessions and special session registration portals are listed below. If you do not find your appropriate session listed below, please notify your faculty mentor immediately so that they may work with OUR to include your intended session.

 


 

Information:

 

All UWF undergraduates, graduates, recent graduates, adjunct and faculty members are welcome to apply.

-If you are a faculty member and would like to discuss special session requests, discussion panels, or course presentations, please contact Dr. Allison Schartw at aschwartz@uwf.edu for more information.

-Incomplete submissions cannot be saved or visited at a later time. OUR recommends having all information prepared before initiating the submission process.

-If you need assistance with the abstract submission process, please contact OUR at our@uwf.edu

-Lead authors will submit a group project, HIP proposals, and abstract proposals below. During the submission process, the LEAD AUTHOR ONLY will register to attend the 2019 Student Scholars Symposium and Faculty Research Showcase. Once the abstract portal has closed (Monday, March 4th, 2019) OUR will send out a SEPARATE registration link for ALL named faculty mentors and listed group members. 

 

Applicants will need the following information to complete an abstract submission successfully: 

-All co-author information (name and e-mail) 

-Faculty mentor information (name, department, and e-mail) 

-Abstract (250-word maximum)

-Confirm with your mentor what type of HIP Experience you will showcase (for students participating in the High-Impact Practices and Experiential Learning Showcase)

The High-Impact Practices and Experimental Learning Showcase

OUR enthusiastically welcomes the NEW High-Impact Practices and Experimental Learning Showcase to this year's Student Student Scholars Symposium and Faculty Research Showcase. This showcase will present UWF's most impressive high-impact practices and experimental learning efforts, and will be a main feature in this year's symposium! High-Impact Practices (HIP) and Experimental Learning Showcase - Office of Career Development and Community Engagement's - (9am - 4 pm)

The Office of Career Development and Community Engagement is collaborating with the OUR Student Scholar Symposium to host the High-Impact Practices (HIP) Showcase at this year's Student Scholars Symposium and Faculty Research Showcase. There are 11 categories where you could take the top prize and $200!
