National Conference for Undergraduate Research (NCUR)
UWF to host 2022 NCUR
CUR Executive Officer Elizabeth Ambos said, “The University of West Florida’s dedication to diverse undergraduate research, scholarship and creative inquiry initiatives makes it an exemplary environment for NCUR attendees. The area’s rich historical heritage and many amenities will provide a delightful setting for NCUR 2022.”
“The faculty, staff and students at the University of West Florida are delighted to host the annual National Council on Undergraduate Research conference in 2022,” said UWF President Martha D. Saunders. “Research expands student-learning opportunities beyond the classroom and teaches valuable skills such as critical thinking and problem solving. We look forward to meeting our counterparts from across the country and showing them all that UWF and Pensacola have to offer.”
“The annual gathering of young scholars welcomes presenters from all institutions of higher learning and from all disciplines, providing a unique learning and networking opportunity,” Ambos said. She noted that the event has expanded considerably since its inception in 1987, highlighting the increased importance of undergraduate research, scholarship and creative inquiry to institutions and employers.
Fifty UWF participants attended NCUR 2017, and 55 UWF representatives participated in NCUR 2018, placing UWF among the top 20 institutions sending undergraduates to the conference.
