Dr. Arnab Biswas

I am a Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of West Florida (UWF). I have taught several courses including Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Managerial Economics (MBA), International Economics, International Business and Econometrics. I have a diverse research agenda ranging from housing market to gender discrimination and economic growth. However, the related phenomena of gender equity and growth have been an integral part of my post-dissertation research. Overall, my research interests include urban economics, applied microeconomics, applied econometrics, labor economics, public policy and development economics. Previously, I also served as a Research Analyst at the Haas Center for Business Research and Economic Development at the University of West Florida. There I had participated in all phases of project development, including project design, performance of economic research involving public policy analysis (at the regional level), data collection, data entry, statistical analysis, use of economic impact modeling software (e.g. REMI, IMPLAN), tabulation, economic forecasting and production of timely reports and other materials for publication and presentation.
