Mr. Rob Wilson Mr. Rob Wilson, Interim CEO, is a former investment banker with over twenty years of financing experience. He is the former Head of Healthcare Corporate Finance at both First Union and, most recently, the Royal Bank of Canada. Mr. Wilson worked in the Research Triangle Park, NC area for six years and spent the last three years of his career headquartered in San Francisco, CA. Mr. Wilson has been involved in over $3 billion of funding for a wide range of companies in the biotechnology, medical technology, and healthcare service industries. He directed the national venture capital marketing effort for healthcare venture funds at all of his prior investment banking firms. He has also worked with companies that were incubated or financed by technologies from some of the nation's leading research universities including Stanford, Duke, MIT and Harvard. In addition, Mr. Wilson has served on the Advisory Boards of the Counsel for Entrepreneurial Development in the Research Triangle Park and the Royal Bank of Canada Life Science Fund. He has significant experience in balancing fundamental academic research, technology transfer, entrepreneurial management and venture funding to develop successful businesses. Most recently Mr. Wilson served as CEO of Medcomsoft Inc. a KLAS award winning electronic medical record company.  

Mr. Timothy Roberts Mr. Timothy Roberts, Tech Transfer/Next Exit History Project Coordinator, earned his B.A. in History and his M.A. in Historic Preservation from the University of West Florida. Mr. Roberts’ research interests include Gulf Coast vernacular architecture, preservation-related socio-economic impact, and the uses of emerging technologies in historical research. Mr. Roberts has participated in a number of successful preservation-related projects including the reinterpretation of Pensacola’s Colonial Archaeological Trail funded through the History Channel. Mr. Roberts has presented research projects at numerous local and national conferences including the Gulf Coast History and Humanities Conference, the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation Conference, and the National Council on Public History Conference. Mr. Roberts was named outstanding graduate student of the year by the University Of West Florida Department of History for the 2007-2008 school year.

Dr. Jay Clune Dr. Jay Clune, Chair Department of History, University of West Florida, earned his B.S. at Nicholls State University, his M.A. at the University of Alabama, and his Ph.D. at Louisiana State University.  Beginning in 1997, he served as coordinator of Historical Archaeology and Historic Preservation tracks in the Department of History and, most recently, as chair of the Department of History. Dr. Clune has published on the colonial history of Cuba and Pensacola and has supervised a multi-media project on St. Michael’s Cemetery in Pensacola. He is the project director of Project Past Cast. 

Dr. Patrick Moore Dr. Patrick Moore, Director, Public History Program, University of West Florida, earned his B.A. and M.A. from New Mexico State University and his Ph.D. at Arizona State University.  His areas of specialization include Twentieth Century United States, Public, Cultural, Cold War, Urban, and Oral History. Dr. Moore has been instrumental in the creation of both graduate and undergraduate programs in Public History at UWF. Since his arrival in 1998, he has served as Director of the Public History program. Most recently, he has served as coordinator of College of Arts and Sciences and History programs in historic downtown Pensacola. Dr. Moore has supervised podcasts projects on Route 66 and African-American Community History and was named the 2007 Carnegie Professor of the Year for Florida.


Dr. David Dawson Dr. David Dawson, Instructor, Department of Engineering and Computer Technology, University of West Florida, earned his B.A. at Florida Atlantic University, his M.A. from the University of Michigan, and an Ed.D. in Instructional Technology from the University of West Florida. He develops collaborative instructional design and development tools. Dr. Dawson has contributed to the creation of several performance-support tools, including one for which he is co-inventor in its patent, and another recently adopted University-wide for the development of web and mobile technology degree programs. He has published chapters in a number of books and journal articles on the theoretical foundations of reusable learning object technology for the development of teaching and learning. Research interests include instructional design support tools and reusable learning object instructional delivery systems. He also is interested in expert knowledge elicitation and documentation through database-driven web interfaces.
