Greetings from the University of West Florida Division of Student Affairs!

I believe that the heart of Student Affairs is captured in the way we seek to describe ourselves in our Vision statement.

The division of student affairs will be student-centered educators and servant leaders who meet the comprehensive needs of students at UWF

• The division of student affairs will be student-centered …not just in our philosophy, but also in the way we organize ourselves..
• The division of student affairs will be student-centered educators …meaning we are part of the central mission of the university, which is to educate students.
• The division of student affairs will be student-centered educators and servant leaders …we are here to empower, to provide, to challenge, and to support.
• The division of student affairs will be student-centered educators and servant leaders who meet the comprehensive needs …recognizing that higher education should be a "holistic, transformative activity that integrates academic learning and student development" (ACPA & NASPA, 2004).
• The division of student affairs will be student-centered educators and servant leaders who meet the comprehensive needs of students at UWF …implying that we serve all students in some way whether they be part of the main campus, the remote campus, or the e-campus.

These words represent our aspirations and might in fact be characterized as a promise made to our students, their families, and the University community.  The heart of Student Affairs then is the daily effort to deliver on the promise.  Our well qualified professional and support staff, graduate assistants, student leaders, and student staff are committed to this effort.  We hope you will take the time to learn more about our purposeful programs, quality services, and community-enhancing facilities.
