UWF awarded $2 Million TDC grant toward Darrell Gooden Stadium
The University of West Florida has been awarded a $2 million grant from the Tourist Development Council through the Tourist Development Tax program to support the construction of the future Darrell Gooden Stadium, pending approval from the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners. This grant represents a significant milestone in the University's plan to build a transformative facility that will benefit both the UWF campus and the greater Escambia County community.

University of West Florida Argonauts and supporters worldwide are invited to participate in UWF’s seventh annual Day of Giving on Thursday, April 17. UWF’s TeacherReady Program continues partnerships to address teacher shortages nationwide
For more than two decades, the University of West Florida’s TeacherReady Online Certificate Program has made a significant impact in addressing teacher shortages across the U.S. through innovative partnerships with school districts, assisting para-professionals, non-certified teachers, military veterans and spouses, career changers and recent college graduates in obtaining their teaching certifications. By providing a pathway to teacher certification, these collaborations help school districts cultivate and retain high-quality educators.
